MACHINERY CONTRACTING Hillfairs is a business committed to moving forward in todays
technology, LEXION 480 CLAAS COMBINE WITH 30FT HEADER This combine is used for maximum output with one machine, cutting down on time, trailers and labour, but keeping the quality of our operation.
TWO JCB FASTRACS ONE 6910 & 3 X 15T TRAILERS Used for high-speed haulage to the barn during harvest and a flexible fleet for ploughing, hedgecutting, rolling, bowser haulage and touch up cultivations. CAT 75E CRAWLER This machine is the workhorse of the cultivation fleet, being used for one pass Simba Solo, second pass Simba Cultipress work, if required, and also 8m Vaderstad drilling all year round. JD 8400 Used for ploughing when needed with a 10 Furrow Besson and considerable amounts of mole draining to aid our soil management programme, also flexible for roadwork at peak periods.
BATEMAN RB15 & BATEMAN HI-LO 24M SPRAYERS These two high output machines are capable of 400-500 acres spraying per day during peak spring and summer agronomy operations. Integrated crop management is now an important part of our spray only when necessary policy. KUHN 24M BOOM SPREADER & 4 WHEEL STEER JCB FASTRAC Fertiliser is now a precise science, with accurate applications being a necessity. This machine allows the exact amount to be applied to the exact area of the field, unlike some spinning disc machines. 4.5M SIMBA SOLO This machine has proved to be very successful for one pass cultivations after break crops and before O.S.Rape, moving soil to a plough depth without creating large clods. 3 weeks of weathering then create a stale seedbed to aid blackgrass control. CAT TH62 TELESCOPIC LOADER A vital piece of equipment for fast and safe materials handling, whether filling the drill, spreader, trailers, lorries or pushing crop to 3m high in our on-floor ventilation cornstores. CAT 638B BACKHOE Used for relief materials handling and for ditch maintenance during the winter and spring to maximise land drainage efficiency. SIMBA 8M TOP TILTH Cultivation equipment to allow us the correct finish with a minimum amount
of passes, used in the spring (on pea land) and autumn prior to drilling. The
finishing touch to seedbeds, allowing low seed rates to be used. A cultivation programme can be set out for any soil type with this fleet of equipment, covering all eventualities and weather conditions during August and September. We can help cut costs. Using one-pass cultivation techniques and then drilling, allowing any farmer to concentrate on combining during the busiest period and crop agronomy during the rest of the year. |
